You need to do a little story research in your area before the workshops begins.

Within the first hour of the workshop I will ask everyone for their story ideas.  You should have
at least two. The story should be a 1 day shoot. It can be something you have started to work on already. Maybe I will give you the okay, maybe not.

It’s fine to contact me via email about your ideas, so you can flesh them out fully before I arrive. It’s important to have your shoot all set up and ready to go. We have a busy day one, by day two you’re out shooting and day three editing. The workshop moves at a fast pace and we get a lot done in five days.

On the tech side, please test out all your gear and make sure everything works. This is especially critical if you are buying some new gear for the workshop.

Be sure to have Soundtrack Pro loaded on your computer along with Final Cut Pro – we’ll be diving into the basics of audio mixing too.
